How Religion Began? Through ursurping the authority of Black Women Religious conditioning is societal conditioning; the constructs feed off one another. Recognizing this connection is key to understanding how Black women have been caught in the eye of that storm, pulled by two constructs we were not designed to fit into, yet programmed to believe we had to, at least, to attempt to fit into. Unpleasant experiences tag your nervous system with memories of the events. So much so that years can go by, and when you think of an experience, the feeling as if it just happened can be in your body. Regardless of how you found yourself tied to religion, whether you were born into one or you went voluntarily, religion and the church were not and are not in existence to help you process pain. Religion will tell you to give your issues to god and forgive those who hurt you. Religion has to tell you that so that you will continue to feed that construct with your energy, all the while harvesting your pain so that the religious construct can thrive.
